Hi David,

Double click the AVG icon in the System Tray (lower right part of the screen
where the clock is) to open the Control Center. Click the Scheduler to
select it, then click the "Scheduled Tasks" button at the bottom of the
window. Next, click "Test plan in basic mode" to select it, then click the
"Edit Schedule" button. With the free edition, you have two options. Either
disable scheduled testing (scans) by unchecking "Periodically start
scheduled antivirus test", or change the time for the daily testing. You
have the additional option to have it run the test when you start the
computer if the scheduled time is missed.

If you disable the scheduled test, be sure you have a plan to run it
manually on a regular basis at a time that's convenient for you.

Subject: [PCSOFT] AVG Scheduling

Re: AVG Scheduling

Hi,

I've run AVG Anti-virus on Win2000 desktop for years. Am
currently at V. 7.1.362

I suspect one of the recent upgrades altered my scheduling
of the global scan. Every morn it takes off and boggs-down
my underpowered pc and I have to manually kill it.

I can't find how to control scheduling. Need to re-schedule
the global scan as maybe once-a-week on a Sun. afternoon.

Any help/suggestions are most welcome.

  TIA,
  David
