Hi Lawrence,

I know how you feel.
Fortunately there are some ways to solve this.
She could use System Restore to bring OE back, but that would also restore Cloudmark.
You and your mother could use the Remote assistance feature in XP
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/remoteassist/intro.mspx
but is is a bit cumbersome to set up.
There are several other remote help programs, but one I found very easy to use is
CrossLoop https://www.crossloop.com/landing.htm
and http://www.crossloop.com/ipage.htm?id=howitworks
also check the video on the first page.
You need a relatively fast connection, dial up may not cut it,but then again,
this is true for any of similar programs.
There are others,I just like it for its simplicity and ease of use.

Peter.

> She had downloaded a spam program called Cloudmark and after the 30 day demo period she decided to uninstall it and something in the process made OE disappear.
> She lives in the UK and I'm in Italy, so i can't get my hands on her computer to see what has happened.
