I am posting this simply for the infomation data base, because feel we need
to hear the cons of programs as well as the accolades. I am having to drop
Avast and go on to another anti-virus program. I have tried everything I
can think of to do to fix it, but this program just will not work properly
for me. This will be the third download, install, uninstall. And all three
times, I end up, (after a few days), getting a popup window telling me it's
trying to update, but that the package is broken. It won't even stay popped
up long enough for me to read the entire paragraph. I am also still having
the problem that it's giving me false warnings, although they have
diminished in number. ( And I have done nothing to erradicate that
problem - so another glitch.)

Also, and I have posted this before, AVG failed 3 or 4 times for me too, and
I finally had to give up on it. Maybe it's got something to do with my
particular system makeup, but I doubt it. I simply think these programs are
just not as good as they're cracked up to be.

Time to look for another anti-virus program.
