Those 38000 files are all the files which you had deleted and had been
protected by the Norton after the computer reformat. In order to see what
they are just double click on the Recycle Bin, the UnErase Wizard will
appear and you will see everything there. But if you set the Recycle Bin to
open the Standard Recycle Bin when you double click on it then you have to
right click on the Recycle Bin and click on Explore.
You can get rid of these files by right clicking on the Recycle Bin and
click on Empty Norton Protected Files.
