Hello Mick!
There is a way to convert DA trax into wav files. You can do it either with
the bruning software like WinOnCD or you can do it with a little shareware
utility called WinDAC. It is available at:

The "recording" speed depends on your CD-ROM drive. Not all CD-ROM drives
support digital reading of audio files.
Hope that helps

Hello All

I tend to go through phases with my PC and this month it is Audio!!! I have
come across a problem that is bugging me. If I want to copy a track from an
Audio CD the only way I have found of doing this is by recording the track
via a WAV recorder/editor, this method works Ok but is time consuming. Does
any one know of a quicker way of achieving this? Some kind of grabber/file
converter (the way Paintshop Pro converts graphics) would be ideal.
My second question is: Why can't I just 'drag and drop' an audio file from
a
CD onto my desktop the way I can with anyother file? All I get is some kind
of shortcut when I try to do this!!!
Any assistance will be very much appreciated.
TIA...Mick
