Laura:

You do not mention which OS you are using.

My experience with Win98SE was constant spool32 problems that miraculously
disappeared with a swith to Win XP.  Based solely on my experience and 5
computers that I administer, the switch to XP is most welcome relief.  For
me, it was worth the cost and the effort necessary to install the new OS.
