NetBus is not a virus in the usual sense; it is practically always a
"Trojan" -- a program that claims to do something else, in order to get you
to download and run it. [I believe one version is widely distributed in the
form of a "whack-a-mole" game.]
Once installed, NetBus allows a remote user -- any user with the "NetBus
client" component who knows what port number your copy was configured to use -
- take control of your PC, sort of like a more powerful variant of PC
Anywhere. [NetBus can be harmless *if* a firewall or similar barrier
prevents clients from connecting to your machine; this is rarely the case
with home/dial-up systems.]
