I ran ME for a long time. When it sterted running slow, the best quick fix
was to to run disk clean up, run scan disk, and then hit ctl+alt+del and end
all running applications except sys tray and explorer and defragment the
hard drive(s). There is also a possibility that you picked up some spyware
or robot that antivirus programs don't find that are using resources.
Depending on the size of your drive and amount of memory, upgrades are an
inexpensive option.
