Hi

To get a CD Drive running after a fromat u first will need to find where the
file is that starts your CD-ROM(MSCDEX.exe) , usually somewhere like
C:\CDROM or C:\Samsung.
When this is located copy it folder and all to your startup disk (You have
made one haven't you?)
Then goto your autoexec and config.sys file and change all the refrences to
the CD-ROM from C:\ to A:\
EG:
(Autoexec:-  A:\CDROM\MSCDEX /D:SSCD0000 /M:10)
(Config.sys:-  DEVICE=A:\CDROM\SSCDROM.SYS /D:SSCD0000)

Then pop the disk in and restart your computer to check that it in fact
works.
If it does...Format away...if it doesn't come and tell us.
