Lately, I've begun to see something similar when I visit sites whose
content shows up in a plug-in (Acrobat PDF, Macromedia SWF, *some* video
content). The browser sits and thinks, and then says "Done" with the window
still blank, but the content doesn't actually appear until it finishes
downloading in 20-45 seconds.
