Emie,
Windows Millennium doesn't have the System File Check as found in previous
versions. You can try this: Click the Start Button, select Run, enter SFC,
and hit Enter. You'll probably get a "cannot find" error. Your next option
is:
To check files and folders for errors using ScanDisk. Start ScanDisk by
clicking Start, pointing to Programs, pointing to Accessories, pointing to
System Tools, and then clicking ScanDisk. To change the settings ScanDisk
uses when checking files and folders, click Advanced. Or, to specify how
ScanDisk repairs the errors it finds, clear the Automatically fix errors
check box and if errors are found, you'll get a window with options similar
to Windows 98SE. For Help on an item in ScanDisk, right-click the item, and
then click "What's This?"

Subject: SFC: Win98 S/E vs. WinMe
Where and how do you get to the sfc (system file check) in Windows Me? I'm
moving to Me from '98 S/E. Trying to access system file checker in Me, the
same way I always do in my 98 but no luck. Please, help! TIA
