Joel, did not see any replies to your request so I will give it a go. This
has happened to me a couple of times. I have had two different things to
cause it. One is to make sure your "Policies" are set to allow password
caching. Use Poledit.exe and "Open Registry" under File Menu. Then look
for the Password caching check box. I have had mine change three times to
"No Caching" for no explainable reason.
Another thing is to log onto Windows with a user name even if you leave the
password box blank. The "log on to Windows" dialog will not ask for a
password but Windows will then have a "name" to give a file for saving the
passwords. ( <username>.pwl).
