Hi Bill,
The solution is quite simple:
R-click the Norton Protected Recycle Bin icon on your desktop
and select "Empty Recycle bin" - you'll then be given a choice to delete
(purge) your own files only or from all accounts - if you have more than
one.
The folder is located under C:\ but is hidden and Read only.
Even if you were to access it via Windows Explorer you won't be able to
check the files since they are in a proprietary format.
To recover some files r-click the desktop icon again and select Un-Erase
Wizard.
You can change the properties of this recycle bin as well -
r-click > select Properties.Set as required.

I have XP Home Edition Service Pack 3. Is there a method to periodically
delete or clean out the Nprotect files? I cannot seem to locate that
folder. Is it just well hidden or we are not supposed to mess with it?
Thanks, Bill
