Maurice,
I did download a new copy of Firefox today and had exactly the same
problem as the first time. I have Win98SE. The site said that would be
compatible, so I don't know what's wrong. I only downloaded Firefox,
not Mozilla. I had Mozilla once in the past, though, and it worked ok
with my system. Odd.
Yes, the whole reason I wanted to do this was because it's supposed to
be a more secure and stable system than IE. (Would also like to have
the 'tabs' for multiple open windows/sites etc. too.) I have started
having problems with IE again. After about 4-5 months, it starts
freezing up etc. It gets worse and worse and eventually I have to
reformat again. I've reformatted several times in the almost 4+ years
I've had Win98SE. Guess I'm stuck with it, at least until I can upgrade
to XP. (I know I'll still have IE, but I think it's more stable with
XP.....I hope.)
