Hi,

this is very similar to your earlier post " Last, or almost last, call about why & how to fix my cpu." dated Sun, 9 Apr 2006 09:40:57 -0700 .

if i remember right there were two good responses but i do no know whether you followed the suggestions since there is no further post from you oneway or another.

any way, from your current post (clipped above) do you mean that your operating system is win 98 and wish to know whether a reinstall will help or whether you should upgrade to win xp?

unless we have additional info it will be difficult to suggest any fix.
