Yes there is in OE and here's how:
In OE go to
Tools
Options
Send
Take the check mark out of 'reply to messages using the format in which they
were sent'
Change mail sending format to 'Plain Text'.
Click Apply and OK
Now forward the message to yourself and the midi will come in as an
attachment, which you can save.
Don't forget to readjust your settings when you are done.
