<<(Mick) I have decided to partition the hard drive so I went out and bought
Partition Magic. I have come across a problem that I can not resolve. when
Windows was installed it recognised the full 8.4 as one drive. Now I can not
reverse this and no matter what I try Partition Magic can not partition the
drive. Any advise will be appreciated. >>

I've used PM for years and it always does exactly what it's supposed to,
(albeit sometimes I had to learn what/how).  The new version (4) is the
easiest and most friendly version yet.  I suspect you need to read more of the
instructions or help to accomplish what you want to do.
Also you should post more details of setup and failure.
