Dennis L. Go asks:

"Is there a way to repair a CD-RW that has gone bad? On one of my disks,
the folders have disappeared! "Properties" shows the disk is still full.
The hardware (Thinkpad and a Micro-Solutions CD-Rewriter) seems to be
working ok."

Reply:

Dennis,

The CD-RW you have is not damaged and the information is alive and well. You
have what is called 'unlinked sessions'.

To recover, you need to use a CD-RW program that has provision for accessing
unlinked sessions. For example, Adaptec's Easy CD Creator Deluxe has a tool
called Session Selector which will allow you to access all of your data.

There are also other methods available. See the following:

When recording multiple sessions, you must follow the procedure outlined
with your CD-RW software to ensure that the sessions are properly linked.

Fortunately, all of your information is OK and is recoverable.

Best wishes,

Bob
