Hi Maureen,
Re-install the spyware software and attempt to uninstall it from Add or
Remove Programs in Control Panel. When you try to uninstall a program by
simply deleting the program's files, you almost always leave remnants of the
program in the Registry and elsewhere.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Deleting an unwanted downloaded file
Hi,
I recently downloaded a spyware software in error (not the one I wanted), so
I manually deleted most of the files. However, I found one file that I
cannot delete, and get an error message to the effect that the file might be
a write only file and cannot be deleted. It's a nuisance now because it
tries to open up each time I go into Windows XP at Startup. I don't know how
to proceed with this.
Perhaps you can help me get rid of this item? Thanks for your help and
consideration,
Maureen ([log in to unmask])<mailto:[log in to unmask])>
