thanks for the response to my incompatible software question. I have uninstalled all suspected software and still getting lock-ups and programs not responding along with insufficient memory errors as well as a kernel 32 errror from office 97 word. Tech support has advised me to shut down the computer when quitting a program to ensure that all programs "release memory resources to the system" I would like someone's opinion of doing this. I have never had to shut down a computer to free up memory just from running ordinary files. I leave it on all the time because I like screensavers. This same computer was in the shop in December for the same problem and had a logic board and processor replaced. Now here it is again but they say this is normal and just shut it down? It is still under warranty. Thanks for all replys.
