I have tried two different Burning software: DVD Xpress Copy and Amigo DVD Ripper, both of these will read the DVD fine but will not burn it when prompted to put empty DVD in; my question is: Do I need a special driver for this?

I apologize if I sounded harsh; please bare with me this is my second Language.
I'm out of Idea's...I have tried those DVD forum's also and haven't heard anything yet. For past three Day's I have tried different programs like Clone DVD, DVDV X Copy, Burnatonce, 1st DVD Ripper. Everything works fine until get to the burning part, it won't let me even burn a backup of my HDD. It does play Movie's just fine. Any Ideas?
I really appreciate your advice. I do learn a lot from these forums, it's a great place to figure out about PC problems and how to solve them.
Thanks in Advance,
Angela
