I went to a site recommended on another list to get a file.

There was no download link for the file, but right below it
was another file WITH a link.
I copy and pasted the link for the other file into the Address Bar
of MSIE and BEFORE hitting "Go" I trimmed off the filename
since it was the "wrong" file.

I expected to get a directory index file, a 'not authorized" page,
or an FTP file listing of the directory...

INSTEAD, my drive drawers opened, first my CD burner , then
my DVD-ROM, then my DVD burner...
Right around this time, MSIE6SP1+patches crashed hard and
wanted to send MS an error report... (I declined)
I disconnected the router cable and shut down the computer.

A couple hours later I repeated all of the above...

Anybody know how they did that? Since it is probably not a good
idea to either publish the link, (or even go there), I will only send it
off list, if asked... TIA...
