In my experience, disabling repair option can result when IE version is
changed. When disabling will occur if version is changed, a caution is
given that proceeding will produce this result. Apparently, you were
given this caution, and chose to proceed.
I would first verify that you have indeed installed IE 5.01, Help, About.
If so, I would reinstall IE 5.01 over the top. While it is frequently
recommended to uninstall a program before reinstalling, trying to
uninstall IE will be an adventure. I know of no Microsoft patch that will
restore repair patch in above circumstance.
