Since upgrading to Windows 98 SE, I have been searching everywhere for
info about how to restore attributes which was removed from Explorer [or
so I thought].

No where was I able to find how to restore this useful feature until I
received the following in my latest edition of Winmag.com's Tip of the
Day E-mail newsletter.

Am passing it along for all of you who have been similarly frustrated.

********

After installing Windows 98 Second Edition (upgrade or
full version) you will find that there is no Attribute column
in Explorer. You can add this column to Explorer by by
launching RegEdit and going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
and changing the ShowAttribCol Dword value from 0 to 1 by
clicking on it. -- submitted by Neal Wood
