Hello...

A couple of days ago when attempting to shut down the computer via
"start" I got this message

Fatal Exception at 0028:C003C72 in VXD VMM(01)+00002C72

This screen comes up every time I try to shut down and the only thing I
can do is hit the "restart" button, go through the "Scan disk" and try
again, which is fruitless, as the same thing happens every time.  Have
not been able to shut down the computer since.    As a "recreational"
computer user, I am basically ignorant of how to do anything about
this.... ANY HELP
