Lots of apps put shared files, *.dll's, *.ini's, and *.cfg's in the
Windows directory, so don't expect things to work as they did before you
wiped out that folder. In my experience, you can either reinstall over
the top of your existing system, which isn't recommended but is
sometimes the most convenient, or you can start fresh and reinstall the
OS and all of your apps. The second method is best, IMHO, but is much
more tedious. Removing just the Windows folder and reinstalling it
sounds like a recipe for heartache.
