  The "Dr. Watson" tool is sometimes able to capture and save
information about an application-level crash.  Unfortunately, this
information will be of limited use to anyone without a debug-enabled
version of the application in which to locate the error....

  Some well-behaved applications recrd crash data to the Application
Event Log, but this only exists on NT/2K/XP OSes.
