I had this problem, too. I finally had to uninstall QuickTime to get
everything back the way it was - or maybe I did a 'restore' to before it had
been installed. I don't remember which version of QuickTime it was a
problem with, since an older version seemed to work just fine but the newer
one made the mess. Later, somebody else told me that a computer technician
told them to NEVER use QuickTime. I don't know about that, but I know that
I'll never download it again. We only had the older version because it came
on a CD with a game that needed it.
Laurie, just an amateur out here who can sympathize with you, not a
professional in any way at all!
