Hi David,

I have 4 computers currently (was 5) accessing the Net
through one computer on a cable modem. I haven't found
anything application that doesn't work with Win98SE's
ICS (YMMV). ICQ and AIM work, as well as all kinds of
other Net apps....WeatherBug, WinWeather, FTP programs,
etc.

I would recommend you consider a good firewall, such as
the one available through www.zonelabs.com .

I do have the computer I use as a "server" of sorts
setup with a NIC card for the cable modem and another
for the in-house network.

Don't hesitate if you have questions.
