Bill,

What I wanted to do was to have my folder views defined individually. Some
are in large icon view, some in detail view etc. I never had a problem
before with individualizing and having Win98 remember my preferences until I
installed IE5.5 Then it all went out the window (pun intended).

I have since un-installed the offending IE5.5 and all is back as it should
be. Including a few other pesky problems that turned out to be IE5.5
related.

So my advice to all is, unless there are features in IE5.5 you really must
have, stick with IE5.01! It seems a far better behaved version.

Michael

It's quite possible that I don't quite understand what your problem is but
.... have you set a folder to detail view (or however you want it set up)
and then gone into the explorer (or my computer) "view" --> "Folder
Options" --> "View" Tab and chosen to set all folders the same as the
current folder?

Just a suggestion.
