Additionally, there are countless plugins and skins available for Winamp 2.91, one of which is a crossfader that is just outstanding, but it will attempt to access the internet for a donation. Personally, I believe it is worth sending the author of the crossfader ten bux simply because I feel it is well worth it, and upon receipt of the funds, they will send you the key to disable the paypal function.
I will also agree in that version 2.91 is better than version 3, tried them both... 3 got uninstalled. I've been using version 2.x now for 4 years.... easy to understand and operate.

By default, there is an option to go online to get CD information, but this
option is clearly shown during the install process, and is easily unchecked
- just select "No Internet connection." when installing. No spyware, no
ads, and a great program.
