Hello Listers et al: I'm running Win XP Pro on my machine with only (1) HD--40gig. I've been trying different software programs which all purport to accomplish what I'm looking for but to no avail, so far.
What I want to find is a backup program that backs up my info onto CD-R or RW and will span discs,create simple restore information and such all in one package. The key word here is "simple".  This is what I've tried.
Norton Ghost 2003: Still as complicated and involved as first version and doesn't like Win-XP.
Willowsofts CDRW backup made simple: Easy to use but no restore function. Just backs up raw files.
Nero-Burn5.3: Easy to use but won't compress any files so too many blank cd's are required (from 40 to 60 for 4gigs of info).
Adapted Easy cd creator ver 5.1.1: Has TAKE TWO which is really simple a
nd straightforward and contains all the necessary elements for a full back including a restore disk in case of total loss. This version has only one drawback and that is it won't work with XP. The version update available from Roxio for XP eliminates the Take Two function thereby making this program useless for FULLY backing the HD with restore disks and all.
Does anyone out there know of such a program or app tha accomplishes the above or , is there an easy procedure that can accomplish the same? I say EASY because, I am easily confused by computer jargon and other things.  Thanks in advance  Ed Bogert
