Well, I think I did it this time. I followed Larry's directions below and
they worked fine, except the path it showed contained a folder that didn't
seem to exist. Here's the path I got:
C:Documents and Settings/MyLogin/Local Settings/Application Data
I tried doing a search on "Local Settings" when I couldn't find it - no
hits. So I created a new folder and changed the "store folder" to that and
it worked fine. The files were all .dbx files, so I tried to move it to the
folder where I have my DbxConv program, except that during the move, I must
have overwritten my original store file with a default store file - one that
had none of my subfolders and inbox e-mail prior to yesterday. Can anyone
think of a way I can try to retrieve the original? I tried running a
restore from the day before, but it didn't work, so I have lost all e-mail
and folders. The only bright side of this is that I did need to houseclean
my e-mail queue, but there are several e-mails I'd like to get back...
