As far as homepage hijacking I use Start Page Guard, last I knew it is
freeware. It works for me and its simple to use.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Default Search Program

MSN Search insists on being my search program.  I installed Kelly's Korner
.reg tweak that is supposed to establish Google as my primary search
program, but MSN continues to be the search program from IE.  Is there a
solution to this.  It annoys me no end when vendors try to hijack your
homepage, default browser, default search program, etc.
