Tom, all my partitions (4) are fat32. Win2K was installed on the D:
partition and after setting up Outlook2000, went to File/Import-Export and
imported the outlook.pst file from Win98. The Windows98 Favourites folder
can be copied to the appropriate location in Win2K which will overwrite the
one already there. No problems doing this. My version of Win2K was a full
one and not an upgrade.
I seem to have lost the duplicate "Personal Folders" just by right clicking
on one and selecting close.
Alen Priol question about seperating Win98 and Win 2k brings another
question to mind.
How or what files need to be copied to the NTFS partition of Win2K in order
to use your Internet explorer favorites? Can this be done by simply copying
these files or importing with Explorer 2000?
Really the question is How to convert to Win 2000 without using the upgrade
version of W2K.
Thanks for any reply. [log in to unmask]
