Myra,

First of all I will assume that you have a relatively new version of
Microsoft Word (since you didn't say what software you are going to use).

Here's how to do it! Set a "left tab" on the horizontal ruler where you
want to start your signature line. Then use the underscore line (to the
left of the numerical "Zero" key. Hold down the shift key, simultaneously
press the underscore key and let the underscore advance to your desired
length. If you want more text to follow continue typing till the text
wraps or you can do a return to get to the next line. Press the tab key and
it will take you to the starting point below the line. Then simply type the
signer's name. If you want to you can use the space bar to center the typed
name below the line.

If the underscore appears broken switch to a different font [i.e. like
Times New Roman or Helvetica (Arial) which will make a solid line.

Of course if you are using different software, then the method may be
entirely different. [In the future, when asking for help, please specify
your hardware and software as relevant.]

Good luck,

John D.
