I use Outlook 2000, and can only guess the process is the same or similar.

I like to synch my home and office Outlook files so that all inbox, outbox,
contacts, etc. are basically the same on both computers.  So, I simply open
my Nero (Ahead) CD burning software, use Express mode, and copy (burn) the
outlook.pst (it's mailbox.pst on my home machine because of using Exchange
in the past) to the CD.  Then just take it to the other machine, and using
Outlook's import/export (from file), just import (avoid duplicates) and
voila.

Also, there are programs (e.g., Outback Plus, http://www.ajsystems.com/)
that allow for direct backup of all Outlook files to CD.  I also use that to
do "complete" Outlook backups periodically.
