Hi Chet, This is a followup to my previous message with more specific information. This information was in the previous link but could easily be overlooked. Zonealarm site has a security alert page which says that vsmon.exe can be a legitimate file or it can be indicative of a worm known as Win32.Rbot.GE, or WORM_RBOT.

I assume you have some virus protection, but you could double check with a different product. I used to occasionally run a well known online virus check as a double check, but haven't done it lately. Good luck, let us know how you solve it.
