I have my first scanner. I've been resisting getting one, because I don't
have an artistic bone in my body, so a scanner was very low on my list of
computer items I wanted to spend money on.

I gave in. Now that I have one, I'm looking for suggestions for a software
application that can help the user catalog, annotate, and arrange photos,
with the ultimate purpose being to transfer them to CD's for permanent
storage. I have a copy of Adaptec Photo Relay, which seems like the type of
thing I'm looking for, but it came as part of the Adaptec EasyCD Creator
Suite and doesn't have any documentation to speak of.

Is Photo Relay any good for putting photos into albums and then transferring
them to CD's? Are there any better programs out there for that purpose,
where better is either easier OR offers more features, or both?
