hi, pcsoft.  jim wishner here in minnesota.  i re-installed windows 95 4.00.950a on my laptop (133 mhz, 64 megs ram) today and have a strange problem when i try to log on to any of my internet servers.  it appears to be a windows software problem.  i get the modem handshake, then a connection.  then a box comes up saying "post dial terminal screen" with three lines

when i type in my user name, i get a password prompt.  i am unable to type a password...typing does not appear on the screen.  then it times out.

it happens on both my national and local ISP.  got to be a windows problem.  i have previously been running this same version of windows since '96 with no log on problems.  any suggestions, please?
