Just right click on the Norton Icon in the toolbar then left click on 
disable.  When finished downloading update, right click again, left click on enable.  
That is it.

How do I disable and then enable the Norton Anti-Virus program?  This is 
recommended by Microsoft Windows Update before downloading critical patches.
