CDA files just what Windows gives the extension to each Audio track on an
Audio CD.
If you aren't getting sound you can check the following:
1. Is the audio cable installed/good from the Cdrom to the sound card?
2. Double click on the Sound Volume Icon on the system tray. It looks like
a little golden speaker.
If you don't have one you can turn it on by going to the Multimedia
Properties in the Control Panel,
and selecting the check box to enable the sound volume icon.
Once you open the Sound Volume control look to see if CD Audio is in the
list. If it is then move the
volume control about half way to 3/4 of the way up. If there is no
CD-Audio then click Option/Properties.
In the new windows scrow down to find CD Audio and put a check in the box
then click Ok.
