My win 2k box was working fine. Before I went to bed I
start disk defrag. In the morning the screen was black
with the message something like I may have to find a
windows 2k update. There was no way out of that screen
so after resetting it appeared that the system was
running through a scan disk because of not a proper
shut down. The OS gets up to the Windows 2000 Pro
starting up screen, with a small "task bar" on the
bottom. After the task bar is full, of thick cursor
like bars, the system just hangs for about a minute
then goes to a blue screen and then aborts and
restarts. It will keep doing this over and over. I
have tried to run in safe mode and the last good
configuration, but only to repeat the above
description. Any ideas?????
