Hi there,
I have noticed lately it is happening all the time for me (Win ME and
IE/OE6) when the Internet connection is SLOW that I get red crosses
all over most internet sites and e-mails with pictures that normally
load without a problem.
Lately I somewhere read a hint that it may happen if some settings in
the registry are wrong. It was
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg (or gif or bmp) where under "content" you
should find (or create) the value "image/jpg" (or gif or bmp). The
usual advice with the registry is to be CAREFUL and make a backup
before changing things.
