All:
Not to make excuses when one opens an attachment they are not absolutley sure
of. We have only ourselves to protect us. I noticed a couple of things from
those who ran the attachment.
The file had two extensions .txt.vbs. Some email programs didn't show the vbs
clearly. The ellipses were the only clue, but .txt was clearly visible.
A manual anti virus scan was negative. It seems to me a manual scan of a VBS
script with registry edit commands and copy commands which didn't produce a
warning at least is inexcusable. This is a no brainer. What do we pay for?
And thanks again to Microsoft who contends its not their problem. A little code
which would let you confirm you really want to send to your entire address book
is apparently too much for them .
