You should be able to disable it from startup by finding out where it is
activating from and deleting that entry.  I assume you have checked o\your
Startup folder and it's not there.

You can either run a utility such as StartEd or similar which will show you
where all startup programs are activating from and allow you to easily
remove them from the registry, or you can edit the Registry and remove
their startup entries manually---that's not difficult.  Here's how:

Run Regedit and open HKey Current User/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current
version and open the Run and Run Once folders.  Delete Zone Alarm if it is
in there.

Go also to HKey Local Machine and follow the same path to the Run folders
and delete any Zone Alarm entries.
