It does sound like you have a dialer on your system. You may want to check
out the freeware Spybot  After you install it, be and run it, it will tell
you if any spyware, dialers, adware, tracking cookies, etc are on your
system and allows you to select and remove them.

After you do that, check out Spywareblaster for preventing any such stuff
from even getting on your system.

Both have live *update* options for you to keep the programs up to date with
the latest.
