While IE is getting better, FF and Chrome are more innovative and
updated faster. They are generally more secure (Although they've had
their share of problems) and allow for add-ons that improve the
functionality. This is a huge difference from IE.
I use both FF and Chrome almost exclusively. There are rare sites (Like
Window Update) that require IE.
Chrome stores your Favorites (Bookmarks) locally. There's no particular
risk in adding your favorites to either FF or Chrome.
Both browsers have a learning curve, like any software, and a little
study will be rewarded.

I have some problems with Vista and am told they are all IE related. Am
also told FF or GC will solve the problems. I tried FF once but didn't
see it did anything more than IE did. Maybe it is just the same but more
stable. Didn't know that GC functions as IE. I thought it was just a
search engine. One thing I didn't like about GC is that it was asking me
to transfer all my favorites to GC. Don't like the idea of having all my
favorites online where who knows who is looking at them. Am I correct on
this?

Bottom line - I just need a stable way to access the internet.
