I recently purchased Small Business Server for the Network that I
administer, what I really wanted was Proxy Server but I needed another copy
of NT Server anyway so I went ahead and ordered the 25 client SBS. When I
opened up the package I discovered to my horror that it is all one big
package its all one big install you cant add separate components to one
preexisting NT Server I had set up a machine running the eval of Proxy
Server and I wanted to make it permanent, anyway when I go to the folder
that contains the setup.exe and try to set up proxy server on the machine it
says that this machine does not contain Small Business Server and won't let
me install it, so what I was wondering is if anybody knew what files the
setup up program from the Proxy Server on the SBS disk looks for or is it
something in the registry I just want to be able to install Proxy Server by
itself and I know there has to be a way to do it, I dont want this to be the
worst 2000 bucks I spent of the company money! Anyway your help will be
greatly appreciated.
