I understand Microsoft provided a patch for the latest news-making worm/virus a month ago.  If everyone had downloaded the patch when it was first available, would Blaster have made such an impression or would it have fizzled?

Thanks to Dean Kiley, I am a born again Microsoft Windows updater and a keep it current anti-virus disciple.
